I have been seeing Dr. Patel for a night guard. It has been 2 attempts now, and neither night guard has fit. Dr. Patel made the decision, without my input, to bill my insurance for a more expensive night guard, even though I have never left the premises with a night guard. Today, Dr. Patel took multiple impressions with a different material, hoping the THIRD attempt will work. Afterward, her secretary informed me that Dr. Patel FORGOT to inform me that there would be out-of-pocket costs associated with this "more expensive" process, which I refused to pay. My insurance covers night guards 100%. Complete lack of transparency and Dr. Patel has made decisions that directly impact me without my input..

Hyde Park Dental Arts placed two crowns, however they did not insurance approval in advance. I paid my co-payments in full. Since did not get insurance approval, they expected that I would cover the balance. I am living on disability and was unable to pay. This is their fault, not mine. Since they placed the bill into collection, I am being harassed 3 times per day by telephone. Again, this is their fault.
