13At my first visit with Dr. Pedersen, she told me to spend almost $1,000 on a temporary fix, or else \"do not come back!\" She had a very paternalistic, business-centered approach, saying that if I didn\'t want to follow her first recommendation for my occlusal guard and do what she said, she didn\'t see the point in discussing other possible options. She was not willing to talk through other options with me as a patient. I felt disrespected and marginalized. There was little regard for patient care.
