I recently had a gum surgery procedure performed by Dr. Augustine and his staff. It went amazingly well. I found his approach to be reassuring and precise. My gums have healed well and I\'m happy. I encountered several staff members who all seemed very professional and pleasant. Everyone was knowledgeable and communicated well about what came next and what I had to do for follow-up. All in all, it was a very good experience.

They over sedated our child for a procedure. I found out later from friends and neighbors that it had happened to most of their kids as well. I guess one way to resolve this is to always confirm dosing with your child's pediatrician first. In addition, we later found out the procedure should not have been done in the first place... We should have gotten a second opinion, but it being our first child and the dentist making it sound not only necessary but extremely urgent, we made that mistake; lesson learned. We switched to another pediatric dentist who allows parents to remain with their children during procedures. So when our second child fell and knocked out their 2 front teeth, it was so much easier on our 3 year old. That experience was less traumatizing for the child than our oldest visiting Dr. Stratmann for a few fillings and unnecessary caps. In short, I would avoid this dentist; there are more suitable options available for whatever your family's needs may be. And no, I do not need nor want to discuss my "concerns" with anyone affiliated with this office or dentist. The time for such discussions with parents is BEFORE something like this happens, not after.
