How Patients Feel
POSITIVEPatient Reviews
5I\'ll assume Dr. Giessel is a good dentist, but his office policies need attention. I\'d made an appointment 3-weeks prior for dental work called for by my regular dentist via X-rays she\'d performed. I mentioned to Dr. Giessel\'s staff that I like to avoid unnecessary X-rays and could they have my recent X-rays transferred by the time of my appointment. \"\"Absolutely.\"When I arrived I was told they didn\'t have them. Why? Because Dr Giessel\'s policy is to not request the records until the week of the appointment, and since it was Tuesday, they hadn\'t arrived. WHAT? But... not to worry, the doctor could re-do my X-rays right away. When I asked Dr. Giessel about that policy he shrugged and pointed to his X-ray machine and said he\'d retake them. When I told him his policy essentially assured most patients\' X-rays would never be availble for a first visit he said it didn\'t matter cause insurance always paid 100% for X-rays. Well... gosh... that really wasn\'t the point Doc!!! I left.
