I am amazed that this dentist has any good reviews. I am still suffering from bad dental work that he did 7 years ago. I recently had to have a root canal retreat on a root canal that he did. He completely missed one canal and did not do a good job of filling. It was infected and inflammed and full of black necrotic material. The crown that he put on that tooth was extremely painful for weeks after he put it on which he thought was normal. It also had to be completely reshaped by another dentist because it wasn't the right shape and size and was causing problems with my bite and jaw. Dr. Simpson put two implants in my mouth and left big chunks of cement under the gum which caused an infection. One of the implant posts is so long that it almost touches my sinuses. He never mentioned the option of doing a sinus lift. The post did not need to be that long. I think that he just used what he had on hand and didn't care if it was the right thing for my mouth. I am now having to have a special and expensive procedure done by a periodontist to clean the cement from around the implants with the crowns because over time the infections and inflammation have caused significant bone loss. After that I will have to have a gum graft and possibly a bone graft to fill in the area with the bone loss. Another crown that he put in was too long but he refused to modify the length. He actually said that he made it the wrong color and too long on purpose because he thought that all of my front teeth should be whiter and longer and planned to replace all of my veneers in the front. We had NEVER even discussed this nor is this something that I would want to do. He thought he was going to force me to do this and make a lot of money off of it. Because that crown was too long it hit my bottom tooth and caused an infection and damage to the root. Another dentist replaced the crown with one the right size and color but the damage was so bad that I had to have an apipoectomy done because not all of the bone grew back and part of the roof was exposed and very painful. I could add other things to this list of the bad dentistry performed by Dr. Simpson. Suffice it to say that I would not let this man even clean my teeth.
