Dr. Jiman Nelson

Professional Statement

Born and raised in Jackson Mississippi, Dr. Nelson has always been emersed in extending hospitality, a love of science and medicine. Dentistry provided the perfect career that would allow him to combine all these factors. Dr. Nelson completed his Masters in Biomedical Sciences, Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, and residency of Advanced Education in General dentistry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and practiced in the field since 2018.
After completing his first residency he moved to Houston, with his wife, Royce, for Specialty Residency in Periodontics/Periodontal Plastic Surgery and Implantology, including a Masters of Dentistry, where he currently attends the University of Texas Health and Science Center, Dept. of Periodontics. He has been serving the community, as a general dentist, throughout the Houston metro area while in residency, utilizing advanced and specialty knowledge and skills. He has also held leadership positions in multiple dental organizations such as Student National Dental Association, both national and local, and Hispanic Dental Association. He is a current member of the American Dental Association, and American Academy of Periodontics.
Dr. Nelson is vibrant, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and remains motivated in providing the highest quality treatment available for his patients.
