I had been there before for a cleaning and exam. I told him I was seeing a periodontist where I used to live due to bone loss, without doing a complete exam (examining pockets), his reply was, "at your age (63) bone loss is normal." A week later, I broke a tooth and it took several weeks for an appointment. Office was packed and after waiting quite awhile to see him, he came over to see me and said, "I'm very busy today, can you make an appointment for another day?' I walked out. That was 3 years ago and because of what he said about bone loss being normal I did not seek a periodontist till last year, only to find out I could lose 3 teeth because I haven't been getting treatments..

Came in for an appointment a little bit late and they wouldn't accept me, but they were accepting other people right in front of me..
Previous reviewers are right. Coast Dental is into the hard sell and in my case pushed treatment on me that was unnecessary and potentially harmful. I went in for a missing filling and before I could get out of there they told me I had periodontitis and would need about $2800 worth of treatment. I went to another dentist a few days later and was told that my gums were in excellent condition. The reviews on their website are bogus..
If you want a Dentist office that tries to suck every penny out of you, this is the place,, there is plently of workers in the office, and they all have a job at trying to get you to purchase HIGH Price services you probally don't need. or you can get their insurance, which will eventually cost you more.... They use a lot of Fear Tactics- Don't go there with loose change in your pockets, they will find a way of getting it,,.
