Really bad staff and care is horrible...had to take child to the E.R because so call pediatrician didnt help at all...plus if appoinment is at certain time dont expect to go in after an hour ...I DONT RECOMMENT AT ALL.
My husband and 2 daughters are patients of Dr VanVliet. His office is always professional and courteous, willing to go above and beyond to assist in any way they can. Dr VanVliet is incredibly trustworthy and knowledgeable (having recently discovered my daughter's adenoids being enlarged when she had her 3D evaluation for braces...Dr VanVliet and his team connected with our ENT doc right away!). My husband and oldest daughter's teeth have been transformed, and are no longer afraid to smile! ????.

Dr. Van Vliet is informative, and fully devoted to his patients. Dr. Van Vliet's knowledge, enthusiasm, and devotion in helping and improving his patients quality of life, not only cosmetic but total health, comes through with a very energetic attitude for treating each patient as an individual, and striving to treat each patient as family..
Went for a free consult today. Staff were friendly and responsive, and since this is only an orthodontic office, the whole system looked very focused and efficient. They took an advanced x-ray of my head (catscan actually.. see their site) and took pictures of my mouth and face. Dr. Van Vliet was impressive, seemed to be very knowledgeable, and experienced (see site) and communicated the details and issues of my case to me well. They have invisalign, and Dr. V said he'd done over 1000 cases of them, but it looks like they are really focused on the suresmile technology for anything but the routine. It uses robots to bend the wires precisely instead of doing it by hand (see suresmile's site, and dr. V's site has clip from bink tv show with van vliet in it), thus saving treatment time, and getting more precise results. I was told that I have a trickier case, requiring 18 months (even with suresmile) for a cost of $7950! That feels a bit pricey to me, considering i also have a quote of only 6K (4.5K w/ a discount plan) from county dental. I did feel this place was more on the ball though, and using state of the art technology. Of note is that they see patients at the highland office only 2 days a week, 2 days at another location, and then they are open for administrative work on fridays. They said that they do handle emergencies where someone will come in and meet you at the office to fix a wire, etc if it can't wait. I hope this helps others looking for orthodontics in the hudson valley..
