How Patients Feel

2Although the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable, about what they were doing i have never been blatantly lied to so bad by a company until Dr. Wheeler. My husband finally got the nerve to go see a dentist about his teeth knowing there was going to be some work that was needed since he had refused to see a dentist for a few years. We were referred to Dr. Wheeler's office by a co-worker because he was "awesome". Upfront after they told us all the work that was needed we informed them that we did not have hundreds of dollars to throw at them for the work, and that if the insurance did not cover the total cost we would return the following year (which was in a month and a half or so) for the rest of the work. The office staff agreed and were very understanding, which we were grateful for. After waiting the nurse informed us that the insurance company was going to be covering X amount of dollars of work and that they would be able to roll the remaining balance over to the next years coverage since it was so close to years end. We were very excited they were able to do that for us and we checked and DOUBLE checked that this WAS doable and that she would be able to make it happen. Repeatedly she assured us "you won't have to pay anything out of pocket the insurance is going to cover it all". We were very doubtful but she kept reassuring us not to worry. That is the ONLY reason we agreed to have ALL the work done at one time. Because they said they would work with us and we weren't going to have a lot to pay out of pocket. Now i'm receiving a letter in the mail saying that i have a balance of 622 dollars. My husband has tried to call and they pretty much have given him the finger saying there is nothing they can do about it. This office is a JOKE. I will NEVER be referring anyone to this office after this issue let alone will i be returning. I have never had a company flat out lie to my face as bad as they have.
