I have been taking my kids to Dr. Bob since they started teething. That was over 10 years ago. Everything seem to be going well until this last regular checkup. My kids received golden stars for keeping their teeth clean. My eldest received praise for having the best teeth they seem by a kid this year. So far so good until the next week, my eldest came to me to show me that his permanent tooth was growing over this baby tooth. It was visible and growing right above his baby tooth. However, I wasn't able to contact Dr. Bob's office as we were hosting a huge family gathering that week and prepping for a vacation in a few days. Fast forward, after our trip, I contacted Dr. Bob's office to schedule a visit to have my eldest' tooth review. Low and behold, the receptionist looked at his chart and informed me that the hygienist and Dr. Bob saw and knew that the permanent tooth was rupturing soon during the last visit. What??? No one informed us during that last visit. The office went on to tell me it was a common occurrence and nothing to worry or concern about. That might be the case in the dental practice, but as a concern parent who did not go to dentistry school and as this is my eldest child, I felt that the office SHOULD have taken the time to inform and educate me on this. Is it too much to say \"hey, in our examination, we saw that one of his permanent teeth is going to rupture soon. Just be aware of it and not to worry as it is so common.\" BUT NO, Dr. Bob's office felt it wasn't necessary to inform or educate me. Then what the heck are they doing? They are my kids' professional caregivers to help the parents and kids maintain oral health and prevent future problems. They were rude and abrasive with me when all I was asking was to be informed the next time. BUT NOPE, their response was \"why should we make an exception for you when this is a common occurrence?\" Well, it isn't a well known fact for non-dental professional like myself. We will be looking for a BETTER, MORE CONSIDERATE dental professional to care for our son's oral health. I highly DO NOT recommend this office. And to think I have recommend ed several friends, neighbors and family members to this office. So sad that this office have such terrible environment and attitude. DO NOT GO HERE for your kids' oral health. You will be left in the dark like we were.
