I had a great experience at Dr Heinrich’s. After being thoroughly shocked by another dentist with lots of fancy X-ray equipment and blown up digital images in living color, and being told I needed six crowns, a couple of fillings, and a tooth pulled, and that this would cost me $10,000 ($8000 if I used their internal insurance), I immediately decided I needed a second opinion. Badly. I posted this horrible treatment plan on my Facebook page, and in the midst of sympathetic replies, there was Dr Heinrich, saying I should come to his office and he would give me an honest assessment, and that some dentists over charge because they have so much debt from their new building and/or equipment, or for other reasons. Fredericksburg was a nice town, and Main Street was fun to shop, so I decided it would be worth the trip of 1hour 50 minutes. The hygienist was efficient and smart, and Dr Heinrich looked at my X-rays, checked my teeth, and declared I didn’t need ANY crowns! Just 4 new fillings (some were cracked, some just old). He did two today, and I set up an appointment to do the other two later. Didn’t want to have my entire face numb.
