2Having your teeth cleaned is not always the easiest task for both the hygienist and the patient. However, there is always the professional, polite, acceptable way of communicating with your patient to get your message across. Scolding, embarrassing and threatening patients is NEVER the right way. Adding unnecessary personal comments and saying that she has other things to do does not make a patient feel relaxed or less tense. I should have left right after she embarrassed me.
