Professional Statement
Early years…..
I was born in Lima, Peru. A land known for its amazing food and of course Machupicchu, one of the seven wonders of the world. I attended Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University, where I graduated in 2000. After gaining my DDS degree, I decided to move to the United States for special training at the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program (AEGD) at the University of Connecticut. During my time there, I completed a two year residency, followed by a one year fellowship. After that, I was offered a position as a Clinical Instructor for the AEGD program which I held for one year. I have since been practicing in the Northern Virginia area since 2010.
Nowadays…
I was able to make my dream come true: to operate my own dental practice and apply all the knowledge and experience I acquired in my previous years. My desire to renovate smiles with the highest quality and innovative treatments became reality at RenovaSmiles; which continues to grow and expand thanks to great staff support and the amazing patients who have become a part of our family.
Personal facts about me:
I love spending time with my my wife (most famous for being my partner in “crime”) Dr. Eliana Cuellar, and my lovely (and terrible) kids: Nicholas, Ian and Ivana. I also possess a secret skill most of my friends and family love: I am a great cook! In fact, this is why my wife fell in love with me and why everyone loves spending time at my home.
