I visited Dr Welty for an exam, X-rays and cleaning! The doe For was great but the hygienist Eileen left a lot to be desired-she never stopped talking and I knew her entire life by he time I left! She told me I needed a periodontist because my tar was bad. I religiously have my teeth cleaned EVERY 3 months! She wouldn’t clean my top teeth because she said she was out of time and that the periodontist would do it! Ironically, the periodontist said my tartar built up was not bad and normal.
Dr. Welky is very experienced and provides great care. He and the staff are wonderful. We have gotten routine care, as well as specialized fillings and mouth guard..
I had a bridge done by Dr Welky less than a year ago an it was an issue from the very beginning (had a fistula and after the bridge was in place I ended up needing a root canal). The bridge needs to be replaced now (it is unstable and one tooth is loose) and my dental insurance won't cover it since it was so recently done. I am beyond frustrated. The front office staff is very good, no issue with them but the new hygienist made me cringe..
I hate the dentist. It gives me anxiety for no good reason. That said, Dr. Chais and his team made me feel as comfortable as possible. I was brought in quickly and take care of expertly. The customer service and level of care are both exceptional. I'd go back, and that's saying something!!.
