I went to this doctor as a recommendation from 1800-dentist. First of all, the doctor seemed like a nice doctor and is knowledgeable, but the office and management team is an absolute disaster. They accepted my insurance and gave me a consultation. During the consultation they quoted me for many services. They claimed they weren't covered by my insurance and attempted to charge me additional fees that would have costed me hundreds of dollars had I taken them at face value and trusted their expertise, but knowing I had great dental insurance I knew something was sketchy. They refused to send my insurance company a treatment plan which is standard practices. The insurance representative ( on a 3 way call ) was blown away by the lack of professionalism and that the woman who works there seemed to not know what the treatment plan even was. The reason they did not want to send the plan was because there were mistakes everywhere and they were attempting to purposely overcharge, and they knew they were going to get busted. I requested eventually to get my records so I could move on to a more trustworthy dentist sensing that this was a waste of time. They then never sent the records after they agreed to do so same day. When I called to see why, they had decided to tack on a $35 dollar charge to get my records, records I own that my insurance company already paid for. This place is an absolute joke, when you walk in to the building and see how nice the office is, it all clicks. The overhead for running a dentists office on Ventura Blvd is high, and believe me they will attempt to squeeze out every penny and misquote you on what your insurance covers. Then when you call them out on it they say "oh yes we just figured that out too" . Sure you did. This place is the equivalent of a bad mechanic, a place where you will go and never know if what they are quoting you for is accurate or needed at all.
