Best Dentist In City - Dr. Kalpana Kaveti, DMD

Dr. James Hesbrook, DDS

First time visiting Dr. Patterson yesterday at the Clackamas KP dental clinic. Thorough, personable and attentive. Dr. Patterson spent ample time to get acquainted with my charts and really made the transition from my prior KP dentist (Dr. Walker) a seamless pleasure..

If my experience with Teamsters Dental is to be taken as an example of their practices in general, I'd strongly suggest that you move along and find someone else to help you. Though some of their staff were helpful and my experience with one of their hygenists was pleasant, these things were overshadowed by the incompetence and lack of compassion of the rest of the staff. Over the course of just three visits, I was lied to, patronized, undermedicated, and treated like an idiot who had no business being involved in the decisions about my care. Before receiving emergency care, I was required to attend and pay for two other treatments, for a total wait time of almost a month. On the day of my first emergency treatment, they called to try and reschedule but I wasn't home so I missed the call. So, in what seemed like an attempt to be off the clock by five, they refused to administer clinically effective levels of nitrous oxide (I have a phobia that causes panic attacks) and, eventually, refused to provide a portion of the treatment altogether. I was very disappointed with the way I'd been treated by my dentist, so I went through the proper chanels in-office to both register a complaint and arrange for a different dentist to provide the work. After scheduling a second appointment and making me wait a week, they finally called at 5pm on the evening before my scheduled visit to inform me that none of them were able to accept me as a patient. They intended to refer me to another office, but only based on location; if I wanted someone in my own insurance network, well, I'll have to take care of that myself. So here I am, suffering from a serious abscess and one tooth broken off at the gumline, out a few hundred dollars, and right back where I was before I made the mistake of trusting Teamsters Dental. Now I have to find a new dentist, pay for a new initial consultation, and maybe wait in another queue, all to deal with a condition that is painful, deteriorating over time, and 100% treatable. They didn't even have the professionalism to call me with a reasonable amount of notice, which has forced me to waste a sick day at work. If you want to be taken advantage of, disrespected, inconvenienced, and abandonned if you dare to complain about it, then go to Teamsters for your dental work. If that's not what you're looking for, I'd suggest moving on to the next listing..
