How Patients Feel
POSITIVEPatient Reviews
47When I arrived for my latest visit (almost twenty minutes late, due to a car issue), I was a complete “Train-wreck.” I needed treatment for a new injury badly. I was upset that everything, I tried, was gone or didn’t work. “Feeling like I was about to fly apart” at any second,” Jessica led me into a back room right away. Per usual, I began to settle down once I was inside their door. We proceeded to a treatment room where she routinely attaches a finger probe and takes my BP. Needless to say, my BP was up. This worsened my mood until Jess consoled me about the extra driving stress possibly being a causative factor. Soon after Dr. Alvi entered the room, I presented my new back/ pelvic injury, one which I had incurred since my last visit. ….I could walk; but it was a struggle. Many nights I couldn’t sleep on either side. The “pronounced-onset of pain” was delayed initially at first; when I began using whatever anti-inflammatory stuff I could find around my place. Although my condition was quite “painful;” I also had a scheduled appointment coming soon. Some of those first couple days after the injury, I really harbored no wish to go anywhere, anyway! Dr. Alvi ultimately diagnosed a “pinched sciatic nerve” and some tearing of lower pelvic tissue. She gave me some medicine and then continued on with routine discussion about my other disease states.By the time our meeting ended my mental attitude had reversed itself 180-degrees. Dr. Alvi must “put a spell on me” or something; every time I consult her. I wish to thank the FMWC for being here. Now I look forward to doctor appointments instead of dreading them. Upon leaving, an entering “disheveled distraught patient” walks out the front door feeling hope and optimism again, as the FMWC works it’s metamorphic magic on one of its customers!
