1I went to Campbell Dental for excruciating tooth pain, and was assigned Dr. Seluk after having to wait a week (unlike the "same day emergency visit" they advertise). The assistant who took me back was very nice and comforting. Dr. Seluk, however, came in and did not even introduce himself or even say hello to me. He just talked to the assistant and told me to open my mouth. After looking, he again talked to the assistant and left. Another assistant came in, collected payment, and went to get the doctor. He came back and just started drilling. He did not tell me what or why he was doing what he was doing and did not even have me sign a consent form! Looking back, I should've asked what was going on but he seemed so in a rush and unfriendly that I didn't even want to say anything to him. At the end, he gave me a prescription and told me to come back in 2 weeks. So there I am back in his exam chair 2 weeks later, and after waiting a good 15 minutes, an assistant comes in and tells me he's not scheduled to be there that day. um, what? His office called and texted me to confirm my appointment and I show up only to find out he wasn't scheduled to work that day? I let it slide, and scheduled another appointment for the next week. I confirm my appointment again, show up again, and AGAIN he is not there the day of my appointment! How does that even happen?? How did nobody working at the front desk catch that twice in a row? Nobody cared to call me before I showed up to tell me he wouldnt be there, and when I checked in both times, they didn't tell me at the front desk. They waited until i was in the actual exam chair! So, the second time, they offer to have me seen by an other doctor there, Dr. Shoukfeh, and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Dr. Shoukfeh was so thorough with me and did everything Dr. Seluk didn't. He started working on my tooth, and I heard him mention how Dr. Seluk didn't leave any notes in the system about the work he did on my tooth! Then he tells me I had an infection and there was a piece of instrument left inside my tooth from the first doctor! No wonder he didn't leave any notes! So I had to see a specialist who charged me triple what I originally paid and he wasn't able to get the instrument piece out either. So basically I went through weeks of pain and going back and forth when my issue could've been resolved on the first visit, had the doctor done what he was supposed to do. So now, I'm stuck with a tooth that still needs a crown and still has a piece of instrument inside of it thanks to this doctor!
