5Really the poorest dentist experience (or Dr's office experiences also) I've ever had. Got to the office fifteen minutes before my appointment was scheduled to fill out paperwork as they requested, and when I got there no one was at the desk. After waiting for a few minutes I had to pop my head in the back to holler hello to see if anyone was even there. When I finally was seen, two girls proceeded to take my xrays and also photographed my face smiling, not smiling, and then profile shots before requiring me to use devices to hold my lips open while they photographed my teeth. In my 30 years of going to the dentist and also the orthodontist in my teenage years, I have never been asked to have photographs of such a nature taken and it was not only awkward and uncomfortable but I truly fail to see how these photographs contributed to my dental hygiene. The actual annual teeth cleaning, my real reason for visiting in the first place, was the one redeeming feature of the experience. Tonia cleaned my teeth and was not only warm and personable but very professional. Finally they told me that they had discovered two cavities that needed to be attended to but did not have time to do it that day. Another first, as I have never had a dentist tell me I needed to have a cavity fixed and not fix it. In summary, the whole experience which lasted just shy of 2 hours was uncomfortable and disappointing with the highlight of the entire process having my teeth and gums picked at with sharp objects.
