22I am writing this not to speak of my personal experiences here, however, instead, to discuss the blatant violation of state codes (laws) and unethical practices of Mona Dental. Per Texas Administrative Code Title 22 Part 5 Chapter 108 Subchapter A Rule 108.13 (a) The parent or guardian of a child younger than 18 years of age may be present in the treatment room during the child's dental treatment or procedure… After reviewing the consent forms at Dr. Houshiar’s office, the office policy state: ALL PARENTS ARE TO STAY OUT OF THE PROCEDURE ROOM, A blanket “no parents” policy violates the state law. Furthermore, the office staff is very saccharine, dismissive, and unhelpful. The dentist refused consultation and conversation with the office manager cites an imaginary policy which clients are not allowed to view. I do not recommend this practice. I have filed a complaint with the State Board of Dental Examiners.
