I didn\'t get was far as seeing Dr. Algood for my first appointment. There is still a very real danger of COVID-19 infection in our area. During the past two weeks, I\'ve had appointments with two medical professionals whose offices took proper steps to insure that their patients and staff didn\'t become infected. That was not the case at the Coast Dental location where Dr. Algood is the only dentist listed on the door. None of the office staff wore masks. One of the other doctors I had seen made patients wait in their cars until they were ready to be brought into the treatment area, the other had every other seat in the waiting room blocked off to keep patients apart. Not so here. While I was in the waiting room to be called, a man walked in and immediately got into a loud argument with one of the receptionists. Because there were no glass separators, his face sometimes came within a foot of hers. At that point, I decided that I had seen enough, thanked the staff and left the office.
