How Patients Feel
POSITIVEPatient Reviews
2BEWARE: Dr Wise is retired. His nurse coordinates all of the activities in his office. I was led to believe he would be doing all procedures on my daughter when, in fact, they have an outside ortho contractor come in once a month to install/remove braces. They had me go to Baylor College of Dentistry to have x-rays, etc. done at a prepaid cost of $180 and then gave me a high pressure sales pitch on the total procedure. Note: Our insurance company agreed to pay a fixed amount based on the area/state and Dr Wise's office quoted a cost of an additional $3000. When I pressed them about the total cost vs. the insurance payment, his nurse said our insurance was not paying anything (when in fact I know they were). She attempted to get me to sign a contract stating I agreed to the contract terms (including things they had neither disclosed nor performed). I told her I felt like she was trying to get me to buy a used car. When she realized I would not be signing the contract, she told me that I owed them $150 for the "consultation" that day. I told her good luck in collecting that fee and walked out of the office. CAUTION: This ortho and his nurse are fraudsters and dishonest. We ended up taking our daughter to Dr. Joe D Jacobs Orthodontics (10440 North Central Expressway) who has been honest, easy top work with and has been a very good experience for us so far.
