How Patients Feel
POSITIVEPatient Reviews
4I had 2 crowns completed by Dr. Sherrill (1/14), which I knew needed to be completed due to a sports injury that cracked the teeth. I had been into the office for a cleaning, and felt the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Well, I was certainly wrong about the dental assistant and Doctor after having to have BOTH crowns done twice, due to the fact they were not done properly the first time. I will also add, that the dental assistants seem to do quite a bit of work, without having it checked over by the Dentist. After the second attempt(4/14), I never was without pain/discomfort on the teeth that were worked on, and refused to go back to Dr. Sherrill. I switched to a different dentist, one that I was referred to. The initial x-rays completed at the new providers office showed gaps and poor fitting crowns. At this point, it was less then two years from the initial crowning, and most insurances will not cover treatment costs to re-do crowns within 5 years. After much discussion with my current dentist, we decided to carefully watch the teeth and try and make it to the 5 year mark, as there wasn't any current decay/damage (other then occasional temperature sensitivity) that needed to be emergently worked on. Over the last few months, the frequency of my discomfort has increased and has caused me to seek out paying out-of-pocket to have these crowns done for a 3RD time, and possibly heading in for a root-canal with an endodontist. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO YOUR RESEARCH...BUT I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND SEEING THIS DENTIST. GO ELSEWHERE.
