Best Dentist In City - Dr. Kalpana Kaveti, DMD

Dr. Ashton Hecox, DDS

Dr. Becker kept the exam simple with no gimmicks or pushing ‘procedures’. Paperwork and estimate from insurance was done ahead of time and worked out perfectly. Replaced a crown done poorly from another dentist and it looks and feels perfect now. Really a great dentist..

Best dentist ever! I've gone to him for many years and thanks to him my child actually looks forward to dental visits! I love being asked by my kiddo when the next dental appointment will be to talk to Dr. Becker about videos games, movies, Star Wars, and YouTube. Dr. Becker is kind, has an amazing bedside manner, and is incredibly gentle and AWESOME with children--even really young ones!.

I had been going to Dr. Becker my whole life. Even when I was 2 hours away for college, I would make sure I could be back in town every 6 months for a dentist appointment with him. My parents, brother, and grandparents are also patients. My grandparents had had so many issues over the years that I was always nervous about not taking care of my teeth well enough. When I left his care at 20, he had been continuing to tell me that I take great care of my teeth. At 20, I went to him with extreme jaw pain. My jaw would clamp up at least daily and I could not open my mouth enough to sing or eat an apple. He told me to stop stressing out and not to sing. He joked about it while I left, near tears. Beyond frustrated, I immediately went to another dentist in the Louisville area. This dentist promptly and easily recognized TMJ, expressing concern, as Dr. Mettens in Fort Thomas and even a dental student have, and offered treatment. Simultaneously, the Louisville dentist informed me that I had 5 cavities, 4 of which were clearly quite old. I requested my charts from Dr. Becker that day, and for years, he had been listing slight discoloration. As a child with deep natural grooves, he did not provide sealant for decay protection. He did not provide this for my brother either. He did not assess my gum health - even ONCE - with a periochart. He does not have the latest technology and clearly does not update his education on a yearly basis. Disappointed is an understatement - devastated and infuriated is closer. I entrusted my dental health to someone who seems qualified. He is not. I trusted him as a professional. He is not. He did not protect my teeth from the 5 cavities that could have been prevented. I can only image the issues he exacerbated for my parents and grandparents. For months, I insisted that they leave his care as well. Thankfully, they have left his care and been treated for the issues he allowed to fester for them, as well. Dr. Becker is an embarrassment to dental health. His license should be revoked before he exacerbates issues for any other patient..
