2Disappointing Experience: It was difficult to communicate with staff. Having recently moved to the area, I made it clear that I simply wanted a 6-month checkup and prophylaxis, and that I had been getting regular dental care prior to moving here. Things began well with my visit - clean office, modern equipment, but I simply was not being heard. It seemed that the office staff was more interested in selling procedures than hearing the patient. While still strapped to the chair, the front office person came trying to get me to agree to a list of procedures while still strapped to the chair. The last straw came when the hygienist refused to do the regular prophylaxis rather than the more costly one the office was trying to get me to purchase. I wrote about my concerns to the dentists, but as of yet, have not had the courtesy of a conversation. This would be a great place to get dental care - and I would have gladly returned for all the procedures - but they need to listen to the patient.

2Dr. Anthony Paventy is an exceptional orthodontist. I don't believe it's called Paventy & Sheets (I'm not sure if this was a former name, but it's Paventy & Brown Orthdontics now). All of the staff there are incredible and very friendly, especially the front desk staff. I feel so welcomed and supported with every visit. I also appreciate the fun they have there--with music, decorations, raffles, etc. It's a great way to build community and incentivize positive and healthy hygiene and dental care habits. I have been impressed with the service and would highly recommend this facility. It was the most expensive orthodontist of the four orthodontists I visited in Corvallis, but I was fine with that once I noticed the high quality customer service, positive experience, and speed of treatment--Dr. Paventy was able to straighten my teeth in a year, compared to other facilities who were going to take a year and a half to two years to treat me. Logistically speaking, scheduling is easy, wait times are short, appointments are efficient and effective, and payment is flexible. I wish I had more time with Dr. Paventy, but his staff take care of me well, and I've become used to spending more time with his assistants rather than with him (which is the same when you go to a regular dentist). My only concern is that Dr. Paventy and possibly one other man seem to be the only men in the clinic. All of the other staff are women, and there are pretty much no people of color. It was an interesting observation I noticed.
