Clifton Dental Care

I strongly believe in the importance of professional customer care. This place falls well beneath the standards that I have come to expect in a healthcare environment. I spoke to the receptionist via telephone to re -book an appointment after missing one the day before for which I had apologised for by telephone and email. I was given a new appointment and arrived promptly only to find out that my appointment was not on the system and that the dentist did not want to see me. There was no apology for the mistake made by the receptionist in failing to document my appointment, in fact it seemed like they were questioning whether that conversation even took place which was very disrespectful. Its important for healthcare professionals to own up to their mistakes and work hard to find out what went wrong. The lack of communication skills and empathy was worrying. In times were dental practices are oversubscribed, weekly dna's and overworked staff I can understand that mistakes are made, however I cannot understand simple failures in communication and empathy.
