5Displaying incredible incompetence, Dr. Ward destroyed my dental implant attempting to install an incompatible crown. I've learned through this ordeal that there are literally hundreds of different brands of implants, but, Dr. Ward failed to contact the Florida dentist, who had installed my implant, to identify its brand and type, despite having the contact information. Consequently, he installed an incompatible crown which worked loose three different times, and finally fell out of my mouth. Each time it came loose Dr. Ward doubled down, over-tightening the crown until he stripped the threads, which rendered the implant irreparable. After a two year ordeal, 2019-2022, during which he communicated with me only through his receptionist, he told me in an email that I was on my own. "I consider the matter closed," he said, refusing to reimburse me the $2367 that I had paid for the surgery to remove and replace the damaged implant, for which he alone was responsible. Be forewarned.
