This was by far one of the worst dental office experiences in my life. It wasn't the procedure - it was the hard sell/manipulative approach the dentist took. I was having major surgery, and needed a "dental clearance" to have the surgery. My regular dentist wasn't available so I called Dr. Rollofson. I took the release and had a complete check up with her associate at which time I was told I needed a root canal - anything else would wait until after my surgery and my dental benefits were renewed in 2015. I leave and have the root canal with a specialist. A short time later I had to return to Dr. Rollofson's office to "finish" my appointment. I thought they were just going to check the root canal and then sign the "dental clearance." But, instead I was met with "just another small filling here" (okay, that's fine . . .), then the dentist says "it's two fillings" (well, do whatever you need to do to sign the release. . . ), Mind you during the previous appointment when I had a filling done, no others were ever mentioned. Next thing I know the dentist is telling me I need a CROWN - well over $1,000! So for this dentist to sign my release she wanted me to incur charges well-over $1,000, when a crown wasn't urgent and could wait a month or two until the new year's benefits kicked in. Long story short, I had no other choice but to acquiesce to the "treatment" plan they suggested - but I absolutely REFUSED the crown. She did sign the release finally, but I felt so completely taken advantage of at that point I just wanted out of there. The only good thing - their front office people are extremely nice. I literally feel physically ill whenever I think of my experience at this dentist. This was by far one of the worst dental office experiences in my life. I have been to many different Dentists over the years, and have hated all but one. That one is Rollofson's office. While I prefer to see her exclusively I have had the occasion to be seen by others of her staff while she was on maternity leave. The office is up to date, even has a chair that massages you....nice touch. The staff is incredibly friendly from the front desk folks to the hygienists to the dentists. I have a very sensitive mouth when it comes to cold water/air. They understand that and have always made whatever accommodations are necessary to make sure they minimize my discomfort, and have always succeeded in that effort. I have never felt like they tried to hard sell me on anything like another reviewer mentioned. I have always felt like they are genuinely concerned with the health of my teeth and gums. You won't be dissapointed by trusting them with your dental needs. I have been to many different Dentists over the years, and have hated all but one. That one is Rollofson's office.
