How Patients Feel

7I had the worst experience of a dentist today. It was not Dr. Cho. It was another doctor working in her office. He was white with a balding head. I have had a number of fillings done (cavities like my teeth), but I have never had my gums numbed before the operation. 1. He numbed me without telling me that a needle is going in. I was shocked; it was unexpected. So, I frowned. It's a reaction to what's happening. He reacted to my frown sensitively saying "okay. if she's gunna be like this, we can't do all the fillings today" 2. He was standing up in the process. I have never had a dentist standing up while doing an operation in my mouth. 3. I needed suction. I had liquid filled in my mouth. No one was taking the liquid out for me so I had to move to show that I needed the suction. After these three happened, he ASSUMED that this was my first time getting a filling. He TOLD me that MY BEHAVIOR was bad WHILE PRESSING DOWN REPEATEDLY WITH HIS TWO FINGERS ON MY RIGHT SHOULDER. In my culture, that's an action you do to tip someone off. It was SO RUDE. AND he told me "SAY THE WORD SUCTION IF YOU NEED SUCTION." HOW IN THE WORLD AM I SUPPOSED TO SAY SUCTION WHEN I CANT EVEN OPEN MY MOUTH BECAUSE THERE IS LIQUID FILLED IN THERE. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SAY SUCTION WHILE THERE IS AN OPERATION GOING ON INSIDE MY MOUTH. I have been to so many other dentists. I was always suctioned when it was necessary. I never had to ask for it. He was straight up so rude. But, other doctors in the dentist are great. Just avoid him. The reason why I'm giving two stars is he deserves a one star but other doctors in her office are great.
