Best Dentist I have found. I feel great after I leave. I used to have to recover after dental work but not with him. I can chew as soon as the numbing wears off..

Best Dentist In City - Dr. Kalpana Kaveti, DMD

Dr. Delores Hammer, DDS

My wife recently had an abscessed tooth flare up suddenly and acutely, causing her excrutiating pain. Dr. Goldberg is not her primary dentist--her regular dentist was out of office and his answering machine referred patients to Dr. Goldberg who is in the same building. I've been to several dentist offices in multiple states and cities and (excluding one deplorable orthodontist) this office presented the absolute worst experience I have ever had. When we initially arrived at the office, the administrative staff took our information. They were not sympathetic or particularly pleasant, but they were (initially) professional, which I guess is all you can really ask for. They took my wife (who was in bring-you-to-your-knees excrutiating pain) to the back for X-rays. After completing the X-rays, the X-ray tech asked my wife if she would like her son to accompany her. My wife was confused, and the X-ray tech indicated towards me. We are both 25 years old. She actually asked my wife if I was her son. After being seated, Dr. Goldberg came and conducted a brief examination and decided to proceed with an emergency draining. He gave my wife the typical legal spiel in a very detached manner (this in itself is not worthy of complaint, but taken with everything else I felt it worth a mention). He then sequed immediately to giving her a numbing shot in her gums. He was clearly rushing and moving things along very quickly. Before she knew what was going on, he was hovering over her preparing to stab her gums with the needle. As she was in incredible pain and had been for two days straight at this point, she was very scared and uncomfortable (which was highly compounded by the fact that the staff and the dentist were very unfriendly). She reacted instinctively and began to put her hands up asking the dentist to hold for one moment. Rather than back off for a moment as requested, he actually put her hands on her and tried to push her hands back down into her lap. I realize you don't need patients putting their hands up when you are waving a needle in their face, but I honestly don't understand why he couldn't simply back off for a second. What scared human being is going to respond well to this type of behavior??? After she began to cry, almost becoming hysterical, he finally backed off for a moment to give her a chance to collect herself. He waited literally 10 seconds and then commented that he really needed to get this underway. At this point, I would have liked nothing more than to go somewhere else, but we were stuck with him as we needed this procedure done desperately and he was the only available option. He performed the procedure, which my wife later commented was done very roughly which would not surprise me as he seemed to be rushing the entire time. We left and vowed never to return. Later, since my wife had missed several days of class including an important exam, she required a note to present to her professor in order to excuse her absence and reschedule the exam. The front office staff apparently resisted providing this simple not to the very best of their ability. They initially only wanted to provide a note excusing her on the day of treatment, which makes no sense as she was prescribed vicodin which she was supposed to have been taking this entire time which in itself would have precluded her from attending class. She tried to explain that she had been experiencing adverse reactions to the prescribed medications and that she felt it necessary to document that in the provided note. The staff even made a comment that the doctor would not sign the note because she was lying about having an adverse reaction. They literally accused her of being a liar. When questioned about why, the woman overtly denied having done so, even though the event occured not 5 minutes earlier. I would strongly advise any potential patient considering paying a visit to this office to STAY AWAY. This man should NOT even be practicing medicine on real patients..
