Friendly Dental Group of South Park

My complaint with this office is that I have told the dentist before I do not want an orthodontic referral for my child, as I believe most orthodontic treatment for young children is costly and unnecessary and can be postponed until adulthood as it is mainly cosmetic.  The dentist continued to mention in a subsequent visit that my child has crooked teeth and needs to see an orthodontist.  When asked for a medical reason why I would want to do this, the dentist has no reason to give me.  This is vain and annoying.  My child looks perfectly fine and until some adult puts her down about her teeth, she has never felt she had any issues.  My child is in no pain and has no medical issues in her mouth.  So why do I need to go see a high priced specialist this very minute again?  I am perfectly capable and taking my child to a doctor if she has issues and don't need some dentist telling me that crooked teeth is something that needs to be fixed when there is no medical concern that you can point to that has to be addressed now.  What if she likes the way her teeth look?  Who are you to continue to tell me what she needs when you have been informed I do not believe in cosmetic orthodontic treatment for young children.  My children will not be returning to this dentist as I don't think this type of treatment is very "friendly".
