Make sure you get any final quote in writing. I had, up until recently, been a satisfied patient with this office. I did two rounds of orthodontics and multiple cleanings and up keep. Once my last round of braces came off, I was told I had a few cavities, right where the bands were located *surprise-surprise*. So I received an initial quote to fix them. I told them that I had a second insurance policy and I could call them back with the policy information. So I did as I said, and scheduled my appointment. I received a phone call a day or two before the appointment with a final cost on my end. The day OF my appointment, I'm sitting in the chair, the dentist had administered the needle to my gums and I'm waiting for the numbing to kick in....it's at THIS point the office lady comes in and proceeds to tell me that her associate who called me was mistaken and the quote is much more than I was told. No thought to honoring the quote and no regard the vulnerable position i was in while telling me. Just, sorry...you owe this. You could cancel and leave if you can't pay. SERIOUSLY...I'm sitting there, numb and drooling, and that's your response. Oh, and this all occurred on my Birthday. I emailed the office thru their Facebook messenger, and they "read" the message that day and never bothered to respond either. Guess I wasn't that good of "client" for any follow up. UPDATE: Once I posted my review of this business and filed a complaint with the BBB, that is when someone finally reached out to me. I was offered an apology and was told the error was due to an employee who made a mistake and was subsequently fired (which i never asked for). So they admitted fault, but refused to honor the quote. In correspondence thru the BBB, they replied that they file with my insurance as a "courtesy" and that moving forward I will be required to pay for any and all services upfront. The gall and condescension of this place! That is their business practice to file insurance...not a courtesy to me! and they never have to worry about getting me to pay upfront for any service. I would rather have my teeth rot out than ever have to deal with them again!!!!!!!!!
