Ok so I can not give 0 stars, so here we go. I initially went to Dr. Belfort for an emergency tooth extraction. Everything went great and they took me in right away. Now I continued to make appointments with this office. 2nd appointment was to have another tooth extracted in preparation for partials. He " numbs" me and barely waits for the novocaine to start working ( it had not numbed anything yet) to start drilling. I told him stop I can feel everything, and he "numbs"me again. Barley waits and goes back at it. At this point I am in agony asking him to stop, he finally does...... only to tell me that he has done 10000 of these procedures and there is no way I feel anything. Goes back to drilling while I'm asking him to stop ignoring the fact I'm in pain and did not stop until his assistant verified to him that I was indeed feeling everything. Now correct me if I am wrong but if someone is hurting you ( causing you pain) and you say stop past that point it is assult.) However I digress. He tries pulling the tooth and it breaks. I get referred to a specialist for extraction and make another appointment to come back to this doctor for what ever reason( still trying to figure out why..... oh yeah he has the approval for my partials) I come back for another appointment in which he has to drill, in the middle of the procedure he is removing the nerve from the tooth, I asked him what happens if he didnt get it all, his response, we will find out right now and continues to drill( by the way I have every phone call and office visit recorded either on audio or video so I can prove what I'm saying. Today 5-23-18 I go back for my partial and he said he is going to be doing a root canal, ummm no you are not is NY response. I then get a lecture about how he is disappointed in me because I went to him for help and now that i have my partial I am leaving( note he got approval for both lower and upper partials and took castings for both but I only received my upper partial) well " doctor" and I use that term loosely, dam right I'm not coming back. You have the bedside manner of an eel, you tell at patients when YOU are hurting them and they call you out on it. YOU should just retire and save people unnecessary pain and suffering. You are correct I will not be back just be lucky I'm not suing you for malpractice and assult. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE FAT PEOPLE AVOID THE GYM(I can say that I am a fat person so back off or I will eat you) this is the review I left on Yelp that is why it is dated for 5-23-18.
Absolutely awful i had a tooth pulled and he left peices ...pulled it while it wasnt nimb uet and then CUT MY TONGUE i have a hole in my tongue the place is awful even the nurse is rude and the dentist is rude HAs no bed side manors and NEEDS to retire worst place i ever been.
Had a filling done. They said they were going to do silver. After telling the nurse "no, I wanted composite (tooth colored)," she said ok. They called to confirm the appointment, I said "I told the nurse I wanted a composite filling, not silver, is that in my notes?" She said, "no, I'll add it now." On the day of the appointment I'm in the chair and the nurse says "So we're doing a silver filling today .." "No, I said 2x I want composite." She replies "Ok, I'll tell the dentist." The dentist walks in when I'm in the chair and prepped for the procedure, he leans over and says "so we'll be doing a silver filling today." I had to sit up and say "no, I want a composite filling, NOT SILVER." The dentist grumbled and complained and then agreed. The entire time he was working on my mouth he continued to grumble and complain. Fast forward 2 months, every day pain, and I can't eat out of that side of the mouth. This was a standard filling. I went to another dentist. He monitored me for a few weeks then decided to re-do the filling. He said that the original filling was never even bonded to my tooth, it came right off when he started to remove it. $550 later (including a second filling, along with the repair) I am now pain free. Long story short, this guy gets zero stars..
What a great practice. The doctors and staff were so kind to me. They are very accomodating to their patients and the hygienist I saw was the best!!!.
Terrible office personal. This office canceled my appointment, and never called to let me know. I had already taken the day off of work. When I finally came in for my appt. they were not only rude, but also fixed a tooth I did not come in to have worked on. The problem tooth was never fixed by them, and they billed me instead of the insurance. I am still fighting this on my credit report. Other friends have reported similar experiences..
