I can’t recommend NU Image. Pros: Bryan the surgical assistant was patient and kind and went above and beyond. Cons: They recommended extra treatment and wanted to sedate me unnecessarily. They cost 3-4 times more than the highly-rated periodontist I saw for a second opinion. Details: NU Image said I needed gum graft surgery on 4 teeth and a frenectomy. I asked if there were alternatives and they flatly said no. They said that I would be under conscious sedation. Out of pocket cost (in network): $100 for the consult, $2663 for surgery. I decided to go to a highly-rated periodontist for a second opinion. He said that I need gum graft surgery on just 2 teeth and did not mention a frenectomy. He asked if I wanted conscious sedation. I was surprised that most all his patients opt for local anesthesia only (and NU Image had not even said this was an option)! Out of pocket cost (out of network!): $26 for the consult, $810 for surgery. Wow! NU Image was more $$$ and more pain.
