2After going to Castor Dental Group for several group I find myself in the uncomfortable position of feeling that I must terminate my relationship with them. I believe the care to be adequate even though I would prefer a dentist who has nitrous capability. Moreover, I think that additional attention could be paid during procedures when the doctor is leveraging instruments while my lip is pinched between his fingers or instruments. These would make the experience much more pleasant. These are not the reasons why I am leaving, however. I recently had to have a crown replaced because it had fallen out. It was not their fault. My insurance is Blue Cross and it is a PPO that refused the claim because the crown was less than 8 years old. That is their police and I accept that. The reason I am now seeking a new dentist is that Castor attempted to have me pay full price for the crown, not the reduced rate that they would usually accept from insurance. Thus they customarily charge people without insurance more than those patients with insurance. Furthermore this whole morass required a polite but curt argument with a member of the practice's support staff to negotiate a partial reduction of that fee due to the discrepancy. She was quite condescending and not particularly reasonable. I find this to be unacceptable business practice. It is for this reason that I must seek a new dentist. I cannot recommend this dental practice.

9Dr. Patel truly cares about taking care of others. My daughter, who has not been a patient of Dr. Patel\'s, got hit with a softball bat and lost a good chunk of her front top tooth - less than a week before her 8th grade formal. The ER doc said the tooth needed to be filed ASAP. Dr. Patel came in on a Saturday, for someone who had not been her patient, and instead of filing the tooth she completely fixed it. She performed beautiful work and gave my daughter back her smile and her confidence.
