HORRIBLE DENTIST. DO NOT go to this Dentist. I walked in with a sore tooth (Bicuspid-which is the smaller molar in front of the two large molars). He drilled and cleaned it out and said I would need a root canal. Apparently, he started the root canal and then filled it and told me to come back tomorrow. I went out to the reception area, to which point, they handed me a bill for $925. I was surprised at the price, so she gave me a 5% discount for paying in full, so I paid $878. After paying, she gave me a price for tomorrow's visit. I was quoted another $1365 ($280 for the build up and $1085 for a crown. I asked her, so the total for this little tooth will end up being $2290? She said yes. By now, I couldn't afford to finish it. I ended up getting infection in it. I went to another dentist who said nothing that was done should have warranted that much of a bill unless put towards future work. I asked the new Dentist (Dr. Stephen Novak - HIGHLY RECOMMEND) to fix it. He fixed it and said I didn't need a crown. He charged me $661 to finish the root canal, plus exam and xrays. He made contact with Dr. Westbrook and tried to get Dr. Westbrooke to refund some of my money, as the work was not completed. He has refused, saying that it's normal for his work to cost that much and that I should have come back. I told him no one communicated that he was doing the root canal, nor did they give me a quote on what to expect. In the end, I have read the reviews of this dentist and he has many complaints against him. My advice to you: STAY AWAY FROM HIM. GO TO DR. STEPHEN NOVAK. He is a much better Dentist and doesn't price gouge you.
