I have recently moved to the Detroit area and have been a patient with Jaffe Dental Group about a year. My dental hygienist is Tracy, and is probable the more skilled I've had. I have a lot of recession, but she cleans my teeth painlessly without the use of those ultrasonic gadgets. Basically, I'm a 53 year old big baby. I don't suffer well and I'm a chicken to any pain. Smoking cigarettes induced bone loss in my front lower jaw. Two of the four front bottom teeth were loose and infected. Both Jeff and Steve Jaffe were very patient with me and spent extra time explaining the different options I was facing. I chose the permanent bridge option surrendering to the idea I would endure a lot of pain. Nothing could be further from the truth. The extractions went smoothly and the next day all I took were two ibuprofen. They sent me home with a temporary bridge, and three weeks later, I had the permanent one. Everything went just like they said it would. That's what prompted me to write this review. They said it would be a painless procedure, and to my amazement, it was. The plan was clearly laid out and executed without any problems. Their professional assistants, Don and Laura, were equally skilled in the process. Everybody pitched in and really took extra time making sure I was comfortable. I was equally impressed with the office staff. Both Lynn and Jackie worked with my crazy schedule and fit me in timely. They handled my insurance company with ease. In my opinion, Jaffe Dental Group has every right to advertise on a simple sign outside which states, "We cater to cowards". Thanks guys...I love my new bridge..
Would not go back again,hygienists chipped my tooth while cleaning her response teeth don't chip when you see dentist he can smooth it out returned for a crown some other guy was ready to make impression. Beware of this practice.
Will never ever ever go to Jaffe dental group again. You say if you were "a betting man," you'd bet on needing a root canal... Then proceed to open up my tooth that I came in for a routine filling (and that didn't hurt btw,) expose the root, patch it up with temporary filling and refer me to an endodontist because you're too incompetent to do an uncomplicated root canal? And you call yourself a dentist? I was informed by office staff that this office does not do root canals, not even uncomplicated root canals!! That means they had no business touching my tooth and exposing the root when they knew I most likely needed a procedure they were not equipped to perform. Just wanted some easy $! Meanwhile I'm over here in horrendous nerve pain. Well because I have an exposed root and you thought it would be a good idea to put this on someone else, oh it can wait until Monday? Don't EVER go there unless you need a simple cleaning, because the office is not equipped for anything more than that..
