How Patients Feel
POSITIVEPatient Reviews
27I have been a patient of Dr. Vera Pavlova for 5 years. When I first went, she was good... Not overly friendly or effusive, but thorough and pleasant. Over the course of the past 2 years, she has messed up fillings for me on 2 separate occasions. Both times, Dr. Vera gave me too much Novocain and didn't drill the fillings down enough to level out the teeth and fix my bite. Then, when I came back for adjustments, I waited well over an hour, despite making appointments in advance. As if this weren't enough, when I was having pain on the right side of my mouth she told me, "What are you going to do, get braces just for that side? JUST DON'T CHEW ON THAT SIDE OF YOUR MOUTH." That's right, a dentist told me to just ignore half my mouth?! Because of this, I switched to Dr. Oleg (at the same practice). He recommended a soft night guard right away, which solved the pain on the right side of my mouth. However, since Dr. Oleg wasn't available for my most recent appointment, I went to Dr. Vera. (I know, shame on me.) I have now seen her THREE times for the same filling. It is still uneven so that my bite is off. Every time I've waited an hour, and she's been super defensive. I'm disgusted. So I won't be returning to this practice ever again. Simply put, I don't think Dr. Vera should be a medical practitioner of any kind. I'm not sure what has happened over the last couple years, but she's become rude, unprofessional, and doesn't pay any attention. The office staff is pleasant, but you will almost always wait an hour or longer. Dr. Vera will stick the numbing q-tip in your mouth and walk away for 15 minutes to see another patient regularly... She is clearly double and triple-booking herself just to collect more insurance money. Either see Dr. Oleg or, better yet, stay as far away from this practice as you possibly can! Unless you enjoy wasting money and time finding another dentist just to fix Dr. Vera's horrible errors.
