7Though Dr. Heir obviously is a patient, caring, highly skilled practitioner, I would avoid visiting this office until the COVID-19 crisis is over. This office does not practice even a baseline of safety with mask wearing in the office. When we complained about it, we got a certified letter from the chairman of the department, Dr. DePinto, saying that we were dismissed from the practice, with no mention of refunding our money (over $1000 paid) for the visit, or the deposit on the dental prosthesis ordered for my daughter, nor any information as to whether or not the appliance was ever ordered (she\'s been continuing to be in pain for the 3 weeks since the office visit). So, be forewarned.

12This pompous dentist will try to milk your insurance if you don't curb him I went to resolve a chip tooth which he started a root canal on and then wanted to perform other procedures which I did not authorize when I stopped him he became infuriated and threw me out of his office saying he had finished the root canal and had no more legal obligation upon my visit to another dentist it was discovered he In fact did not finish and had missed a nerve ! I should have gotten up an left his office when he gave me lidocaine on the wrong side of my mouth and brushed it off as no big deal he is very negligent because he is jumping from patient to patient instead of completion one task at a time which makes him very clumsy with the instruments that in itself should warn you not to go to this dentist !
