I had contacted this dentist who took over the office of my former dentist. This is during third quarter 2020 during the COVID pandemic. Widespread unemployment and financial hardship. I had been trying to schedule a cleaning and they quoted me over $230 for cleaning plus services I didn’t ask for. I asked them to break down payments and saw an exam and X-ray was added without prior disclosure. Typically I would not care but as I said, global financial hardships. I put this off and later asked about just having a cleaning done. They agreed. So I show up for cleaning and again they are trying to tack on an exam. I’m in the chair and they are now telling me I cannot have the cleaning done without the exam. This is an extra $50. $50 is not a lot, but when you are unemployed, due to closed businesses, is a month of food. They refused to clean my teeth and I had to embarrassingly walk out. I would think considering current events an exception could be made. I will not go back.
