4Dr. Katzen has been my dentist for many years. If a procedure is needed he explains to me what to expect and puts me at ease. Eva, Dr. Katzen’s wonderful assistant, is right there with him giving me the same comforting care. I cannot leave out Vicky G., my outstanding hygienist. Going to her on a regular basis keeps my mouth in a healthy condition. I am 75 and my dental problems began when I was in elementary school. Needless to say I have sat in many dental chairs. By far Dr. Katzen has been the most knowledgeable dentist. He has a wonderful staff. My last visit was 6 months ago. It was the first time I went under COVID conditions. All measurements are in place for protection. Also, I am handicapped. I am able to park right in front of the office in a handicapped spot and walk right into the office.

2I would give 0 star if I could. This is a horrible place. No greetings and no clear idea where to proceed upon entering. A few patients and I were discussing whether we should sign in somewhere but no indication from labcorp staff. Finally I got to see a receptionist after 15 min. I was here to drop a sample but she asked me to take it back... And it took a while to clarify that "back" means the room behind her back. The receptionist then told me to go "that way". I asked which room to go and the answer was "just go that way" which was a hallway with a bathroom in the end. So I asked again and got the answer "any empty room". Found an empty room and stayed for another 15 min. A nurse came and asked my name - it turned out the receptionist put my name wrong. Another waiting for correcting my name⦠Finally the nurse was able to draw my blood. It was the worse blood drawing I have ever had. He could not draw flood at his first pinch - which never happened to me before - and switched to a butterfly for a second pinch. The blood was flowing but it hurts - I never used butterfly before but I expect it to be less painful than regular needle, and I swear this is the most painful blood drawing experience in my life. And this is not the worst part. The nurse asked if if I was ok. I said it hurt a lot, and he just walked away! Overall this is a horrible place. It took more than one hour and I got hurt - still hurting. Go to the Quest in bound brook. I have been there a couple of times - always finishes everything in 15 min and never got hurt.
