oh wowzers. i havent seen a shottys deli in a decade. there used to be one near ucla where i got my schlotzkys cherry popped... i absolutely love shottys cause of their sourdough and rye bread. the fact that rye bread doesnt come in large bun just sucks!!! if it wasnt for the bread, the sammiches are whatevs. turkey (club): the turkey isnt overly salty and meat is well distributed. for first timers, i recommend this one. i like my club dry with swiss cheese. pastrami: i tried the pasty rueben and the regular pasty. the pastrami itself isnt that good. its sorta dry and not really deli meat. the rueben was much better. corn beef rueben: this sammich was really food. its simple. the sauerkrat isnt overly saturated with liquid which i prefer. those are the 3 ive had. i wish they had more veggies like green peppers or shrooms. chips: they only sell the shottys brand. the baked bbq is gazillion times better than kettle bbq. cinnamon rolls: they sell cinnabon brand foods here. its really good when its freshly microwaved with the pecans on top. the service is good except for one cashier. shes small and looks really young. not very nice. she isnt happy to work here and its obvious. cute girl too, its sad to see.
