I felt swindled after going here. I went in for a toothache, waited a decent amount of time to be seen, and when i was i was welcomed by a nice student, around my age. She was great, i like her. everything else was just a hassle. i waited a decent amount of time, walked around the place. they treated the tooth, but i needed a root canal. I couldn't at the time afford it. so i just settled for a pulplotomy. I didn't have dental insurance either. So i leave. Months later, i get calls about how i need to call them back, they never say why. which i didn't plan on going back its too far and i need to figure out insurance first. Come to find out right before my account goes to collections that i needed to pay an extra 80 bucks. Which confused me, they told me that i had to pay everything up front before a procedure. they gave me the cost, paid it, they gave me an itemized bill saying the cost, and i asked, "is this it?" to which they confirmed, "yes." before i leave i ask again is everything all set, and they yet again confirm. So where did that extra 80 come from? So, i call the guy who takes care of bills. He was a bit short with me as i tried to explain i don't know where this bill came from. and that i confirmed with the front desk about my bill to which he said "doesn't matter." he starts listing off my charges but refuses to explain what they are for. unfortunately, i lost my itemized statement and just paid the 80 to get it over with. I don't mind paying, but damn, I don't like surprise charges with 0 explanation on what they were even for! especially when this is a place where you have to pay everything up front. it made no sense! However, i had no proof on my end. My first lesson on keeping your itemized statements close. Make sure you find out what exactly you are being charged with, and why, get your itemized statement and file them away.
