This man ruined my teeth. I had calcium deposits on my front two teeth growing up, and about 8 years ago, he convinced me to let him carve them out and fill them, a procedure that was purely cosemetic, as I had no priordental issues... Less than a year later, one of the fillings fell out and caused a huge chip in my tooth. I called his office and he wouldnt even examine the tooth to tell me IF he could fix it unless I paid $75. I went to Lawson Family Dentistry and it was fixed... that filling held for 7 years. Recently, the tooth broke again. Because of the procedure he did, I am going to have to pay roughly $3,000 to get a veneer and a crown done, not to mention the pain and embarrassment Ive experienced because of the procedure he chose. My teeth, when he carved my calcium deposits out, were fine... the procedure was for cosmetic purposes... now I have to be conscious of everything I do, afraid that my tooth is going to break, until I can pay to have a crown done. Please don't go to him for anything other than cleanings... he has great hygienists but he, himself, is awful..
This dentist was recommended by a friend and he didn't disappoint. Unlike other dentists he didn't push the dental work to the detriment of my jaw (severe tmj syndrome). He recommended that I wait for my jaw inflammation to go down before doing anything else to my teeth. They were also very careful with my son's cleaning knowing that he's unable to have food dye. I am very pleased with this dentist..
After having many panic attacks at the dentist's office, I went to Dr. Clauson's office for sedation dentistry. I needed a lot of work done on my teeth and was extremely nervous about getting it all done. Dr. Clauson and her staff were extremely knowledgeable and reassuring about the procedure. I was put at ease by Dr. Clauson's extreme kindness and interest in my feelings. Dr. Clauson and her staff did everything in their power to make me comfortable and anxiety free for the five and half hour procedure. I am so grateful for their compassion and dedication in putting the patient's needs first. I had the all too typical fear of the dentist and endured the pain for years while suffering the effects of dental neglect. I finally decided that it was time to go when I learned about sedation dentistry. Researching specialists in my area, I found Dr. Clauson. On my first visit, I explained my situation and although still anxious, considered it a success when I felt comfortable enough to take x-rays and set up a dental plan. Dr. Clauson and her staff are always professional and explain every step of the process. All of my questions are addressed and with the dental plan, I know ahead of time what is going to be done at each visit. I find Dr. Clauson's prices to be very reasonable for family dentists in this area. Best of all, the sedation therapy has been a blessing. Instead of breaking out in a sweat when I think of making a dental appointment, I look forward to taking a day out of my schedule to relax and 'take care of me'. I rest comfortably through the entire procedure - sometimes falling asleep. The pain is minimal and a lot easier to endure than a constant toothache or unaddressed cavity. Between Dr. Clauson's impeccable chair-side manner and technical skills, I'm addressing my dental health and finally no longer embarrassed to smile.
