In short, this dentist permanently destroyed my teeth. DO NOT see him. I saw Dr. Aspros for what turned out to be a failed root canal that was done by my previous dentist. It felt like I had a \"giant cartoon tooth\" in my mouth that was also painful — this is the best way I can describe it. Dr. Aspros reassured me that we could do an X-ray to see if a failed root canal is to blame, but that this wouldn\'t be necessary because failed root canals are exceedingly rare. (This is not true — the failure rate of root canals is approximately 5%) Then, without doing any diagnostic imaging, he permanently altered my bite. He claimed this would improve my tooth pain. After several bite adjustments that only exacerbated my pain, I finally insisted on having X-rays and discovered a failed root canal causing bone loss in my jaw. I am only 26 and I am in pain 24/7 because of what Dr. Aspros did to me. My TMJ specialist has informed me there is no cure and it will be this way for the rest of my life.
