HORABLE PLACE because cleaning your teeth hurts..
I wish I had read reviews of this place before I made an appointment. I arrived early but still waited an extra half hour amid screaming children and Maury blasting from the tv. All I wanted was a routine cleaning/ xrays. I have great insurance that pays 100% for preventative. When the dentist looked at my xrays, she said my teeth looked fine. Then she started poking around in my mouth and "found" a dozen cavities. I thought, hm, that's odd. She stated that someone would prepare a treatment plan for me, and proceeded to clean my teeth. I'm sitting there with tubes and hands in my mouth, when the 'treatment plan specialist' came in with a receipt itemizing all the work they wanted to do. It was going to cost $450 out of pocket even after my $50 deductible and the insurance covering the other 80%! THEN, the real kicker, and the reason I'm posting this, is the woman stated that I needed to sign this treatment plan receipt to "acknowledge" that they'd given it to me. When I read the statement on the receipt, it said and I quote "I REQUEST AND AUTHORIZE THE DENTIST OR QUALIFIED ASSIGNEE TO PERFORM THE WORK DESCRIBED ABOVE" so I said, hold on, this doesn't say acknowledge, it says do the work and I'll pay for it (?!) and she maintained "no, it's just that we created it for you, you have to sign it" and I refused. Then she got all rude and said "the dentist shouldn't have even started working on you if you're not going to sign the treatment plan!" and walked away in a huff!!!! and I turned to the dentist and said "if she prints a new receipt only itemizing my 100% covered preventative care, I will sign it" and the mood was sour, and she cleaned my teeth in 15 min, so I question how good a job she did on that... BOTTOM LINE, don't go there. Especially if you pay for premium dental insurance. You will just be angry..
I will NEVER go to this place again. There was horrible service & made me feel like they were trying to scam me as soon as I sat in the chair. I went in for a general cleaning & they were asking me for my credit card immediately to do a deep cleaning since they said my insurance didn't cover it. I had gone to a different dentist in June of this year & that dentist complimented me on the great care I took of my teeth & gums. Dental Dreams didn't even bother saying that they would bill my insurance first. I reported them to my insurance company & they were going to investigate further..
