Great as usual.
I went to Great Expressions down the street from Miller Dentistry a few weeks ago and had a horrible experience. I wish I had read the reviews before going to Great Expressions. Today I was very pleased with my experiece at Dr. Nathan Miller's office. The staff are friendly, accommodating and provide great information to help you with your dental health. Andrea at the front desk was so nice, Sara (who took my x-rays) was great, and Denise the Hygenist was gentle and thorough. Denise and Dr. Miller provided great info for me to determine the next steps to a better smile and did not force me to get things done. Instead they gave me the information I needed to make a decision on what treatments I would like to take. I loved the whole experience. I did not have to wait long to be served (not like at Great Expressions - 1 hr without even being seen.) They didn't push the most expensive treatments or toothbrushes or water picks. They gave me options including purchasing on my own online or at Walmart/etc. I love that, usually when prior dentist offices promoted something to buy it was something they were selling in house so they can make a profit. I didn't feel like that here. I love this place and have already referred them to my co-workers, husband, and friends..
I just dropped in today (2/9/09) to Pinellas Dental Center to get some information on dentures since I would be needing some soon and didn't yet have a dentist in the area. After waiting and watching the 2 girls at the window ignore me while eating snacks for several minutes, one of them finally asked me what I wanted. I asked for information or a brochure or a website or something where I might find info about dentures, procedures and prices from their office. She asked if I had insurance. I said no, I'd be paying cash. She just shrugged her shoulders and said they had no information. I was absolutely stunned at how disinterested this person was to gain a new patient. I stood there for a second waiting for some assistance on what to do next. She just looked at me as to wonder why I hadn't left yet. I thanked her and left. It was probably a blessing in disguise to find such a lack of caring, service and help from the start if that was any indication of how the practice is run. .
