Best Dentist In City - Dr. Kalpana Kaveti, DMD

Dr. Eric Fisher, DDS

My experience with Dr. Fisher was phenomenal. He and his staff were extremely pleasant, patient, kind, and comforting. I was so nervous due to never having a tooth pulled before, but the attitude and atmosphere of the dentist and his staff made me feel at ease. I've already been sharing this experience with family and friends. Recommending Dr. Fisher to everyone!.

I originally scheduled an appointment that I thought was for getting my teeth cleaned. While at the appointment, I found out it was just a check-up, and that I would have to schedule my cleaning for another time. I did this, and finally had my cleaning today. The dental hygienist notices a little rough edge on my bonded tooth. She asked me if my floss gets caught on it, and I kind of shrugged, said maybe a little, but it didn't ever really bother me. She then sanded down the bonding on my tooth. She didn't ask my permission to do this. Now my tooth looks odd and uneven, and there is a hole at the top, and a gap between my teeth. I saw it in the mirror when I went home, and called them back to see how they were going to fix their mistake. The receptionist on the phone immediately put me on hold when I told her what had happened. I was very polite and calm. She sounded very irritated, but then did schedule an appointment for me to see someone there to look at the tooth. I tried asking her if they would just be sanding the tooth down more to "even it out," because that would just make it worse, but she completely cut me off saying that she isn't a professional and I'll have to wait until my appointment. She didn't even know what I was going to ask since she cut me off. The tooth has to be re-bonded. There's no doubt about it. Maybe I will go in for my appointment and they will re-bond it for me free of charge right then. Somehow, I don't feel confident this is going to happen. I will post an updated review after my appointment. Update as of 9/23/2010: I had my appointment to look at my tooth. The dentist decided it definitely needed to be redone, and at no charge. My appointment was originally scheduled for 3:40pm. They called me around 2pm and asked if I could come in earlier, at 3pm, which I did. I then sat in the waiting room until 3:30, when I was called back. The appointment to get my tooth actually redone was scheduled for two weeks later. The dental hygienist I had this time was rude to me and very condescending when I asked a question about the paperwork I had to sign, and when I had a question about the numbing gel (which wore off in about two minutes). The dentist did make my tooth look better, but it still doesn't match my other bonded-tooth (I have the same one on the other side of my front teeth bonded as well). In an attempt to make them more identical, my gums were cut up and pushed back. This was VERY painful. I don't recall any pain whatsoever when I had this procedure done the first time. I also had water repeatedly sprayed in my face throughout the process. One of the ends of a metal dental tool also fell off into my throat, and I was all the way reclined with my neck back. It's a good thing I wasn't trying to breath out of my mouth at the time, otherwise I feel completely sure I would have choked. My bonded teeth are no longer symmetrical. To actually fix this problem Gentle Dental created, they should have redone BOTH teeth, since they were not capable of making them look the same. .
