Very competent and thorough doctor but also very caring.
I've been going to this dentist for about 5 years. At first Dr Matthews saw me. She was good but Dr Silverstein seemed much more experienced so I started going to her and had no problems. Then one day Dr Silverstein wasn't available for the appointment date/time I needed, so I saw Dr Vinciguerra. He suggested that I replace my perfectly good crown that I had placed 6 yrs ago at another dentist. He said that crowns need to be replaced every several years. So I took his advice and replaced my crown, even though I was having no problems with it at all. Ever since he replaced the crown, I started having problems on that tooth. Food kept getting stuck and I felt that it started getting further decayed. So I made an appointment to have it looked at, and requested to see Dr Silverstein. I couldn't trust Dr Vinciguerra anymore. I went in for the appointment and waited in the chair for what seemed like an hour. Apparently Dr Silverstein was overbooked and I overheard her complain to her staff about it, saying she has a flight to catch and can see no more patients. And finally to my horror dr Vinciguerra came into the room. He took a look and said there seems to be a chip on the tooth or something and told me to come back. I complained that I've been sitting in the chair for an hour and that I had taken off of work to come to the dentist, and that I had made the appointment at least 2 weeks ago so I don't see why they cannot start working on the tooth that day. He said he'll see what he can do and walked out, and I sat and waited for another 30 minutes at least. I got so upset so I just got up and left. They tried to stop me but it was too late by then. I just couldn't deal with them. He messed up my tooth and didn't even try to take responsibility. I walked out and looked at the time, and it was 2 hours since I had gone in. So basically I was sitting in the chair for 2 hours without getting any work done. I didn't want the tooth to get worse so I went to see the dentist I used to go to before Dr Silverstein/Vinciguerra. The only reason I changed dentists was because my insurance had changed. Anyway the other dentist told me that I should generally not replace anything unless I'm having problems with it. He took the crown out to have a look, and said the tooth is decayed beyond saving and has to extract it. He said it seems Dr Vinciguerra did not clean out the tooth decay before replacing the crown and that because the crown was done wrong (or maybe due to the "chip" that Dr Vinciguerra was referring to) the tooth continued to decay underneath the crown. Now I have to spend $2000 on an implant on top of the $600+ I spent for the crown replacement at Dr Silverstein/Vinciguerra. I'm not blaming Dr Vinciguerra for my bad tooth. I just don't understand why he made me replace it and then do a horrible job, and not even try to help his patient. I could probably get the implant done for cheaper at Dr Silverstein/Vinciguerra if I fought for it, but I'm so horrified by Dr. Vinciguerra that I'd rather spend money at another dentist than ever go back there. Lastly just to comment on the staff, most are extremely friendly but there's one lady there that is really rude. I think her name is Maria..
Doctor Greg B. Has been my dentist since day one. He is very caring, friendly and attentive. Doctor Greg listens to my concerns regarding my teeth and overal oral care. explains everything to me thoroughly and follows through. I can count on him to help me maintain great oral care.
By far the best experience I had ever had! For someone who doesn’t like going to the dentist, i sure will be coming back! I came to visit dr. Gregory Bangiyev. He was very kind, caring and extremely organized. Will deff. be coming back here every 6 months for my cleanings and check ups!.
