My family has went here since they opened. We loved it but something changed As other reviewers have stated, they are now pushing expensive procedures and denying basic services if you don’t do it. They deactivated my account when I wanted to talk with the Dr. Sanford about it. This was back in July 2022. I never was sent a final bill and they proceeded to charge me each month for a late fee. They finally called me a year later, and when I went in to see what the charge was, they told me it was for cancelling within 48 hours. For 20 min, I tried to explain that I was never informed about it and I was talked down to by Stephanie the receptionist. Stephanie had a very dismissive tone through our entire conversation. I asked to talk to the doctor about it, and in the worst tone ever – was told the doctor won’t see or talk to me. - Then, when I showed proof I was never informed of late fee charges because I had all the text history, she looked into it more and found it was not for a late fee, that it was from a procedure charge. Stephanie didn’t apologize for mistake and became very rude. Stephanie never apologized for her inaccurate information or behavior. An hour later - I received a text from Dr Sanford that she would not talk to me, they are sending my bill to my email and then they BLOCKED my number. I had to call via my daughters phone and they still tried to deny me to speak to Dr. Sanford. She finally talked to me, and I could immediately tell from her tone that with even all of time/money we spent there, she didn’t care and wanted me off the phone..
After my recent "neagtive experience with Maria" the office manager at Adams Farm Dental I decided to investigate, if others had similar experiences to me. Of course there were and 48 less than three star reviews and 40 of those reviews were 2 stars or less. In fact over 80% were one star. This means that if you had a negative experience you felt very strongly it was horrible. I did an objective analysis about the complaints. Rudness, Billing Practices, Customer Service and Dental Services were the main issues identified. Here is when the numbers should become troubling to the ownership of the business. 77% of these complaints are related to affairs of the Office Manager Maria and 20% were for the Dentists and the Hygenist less than 3%. This analysis objectively reveals that the problems that were identified by 48 patrons a large majority of them involve Billing/Rudeness or Administrative and Customer Service Concerns that ultimately relate to the Office Manager. Paul Riney, Dana Mayenschien, Tammy Burt, Stephen Barnes, Pauline McLcain and Anony Mous all gave detailed accounts of how Maria treated them. When you read their reviews they clearly provide thorough details. "Overtalking/Rudness/Unprofessional/Billing Problems etc...." You can even see in the "owner" response (IT is not an owner response by the way it is Maria the office Manager's Response) that she is even being indirectly condescending. So she decides to take opportunities to flip the negative comments in an open forum in a dismissive way. The analysis does affirm some positive outomes too. The dentist (There are several) overall was not repsonsible for the majority of the complaints. If you are picking a place you are more likely to have a negative encounter with the Office Manager than the actual dentist. The Hygenist(Dawn is a legend and missed) are actually the heart and soul of this practice. People return for them and they only acccounted for 1 complaint of the 48. So if you go for a cleaning this is a good selection..
I wanted to like this new guy replacing Dr. Eric McCollum in his practice but in the past 2 years experience has gone way downhill. I cannot recommend. him and he is totally out of Dr. McCollum's league. Dr. McCollum had not only technical expertise which he kept updated but also had good judgment and was exceptionally conscientious. Not this new guy Beattie. Beattie put in a bridge in my upper right. Bridge had jagged edges (to fit gum) but he glued it in with temporary cement instead of permanent. It fell out and, if it had been while I was asleep and if I'd swallowed it I might have had to have abdominal surgery to get it out. He also recommended an implant be taken out where the gum was irritated and I had a dental surgeon remove it (another surgeon said leave it in and keep anti bacterial rinse on it) even though it was fairly well seated. That cost me dearly as the surgery was brutal since the implant was still well seated and the inflammation after surgery caused huge amount of pain and the steroids and antibiotics needed to control the pain sent my adrenals crashing and liver damage (now diagnosis of CFS) and the imbalance in my mouth causing other teeth to go now. I stand to lose two more teeth needlessly because of that. Furious with myself and him for following his recommendation. It needlessly cost me $2100 for a brutal surgery and a partial I shouldn't have had to have and never going in that office again..
Kept me calm and relax, seeing as I have, a huge fear of dental work..
Dr. Vines is such a great dentist and he has the absolute best staff in the world !!.
Great Doctor, I can not get anyone to return my call to go over my bill and bill my Dental Insurance correctly. I have called Multiple times over 6 months and no one will call me back..
